Kimchi is a staple of Korean cuisine and is often served with rice, meat or other dishes. Another popular Korean dish is bibimbap, a colourful and nutritious bowl of rice topped with various vegetables, meat and a fried egg. Bibimbap is a beloved Korean comfort food, often served with gochujang, a spicy and salty chili sauce.

Korean cuisine also offers a variety of stews and soups, such as doenjang jjigae, a rich and delicious soy paste made with tofu and vegetables. Other popular soups include kimchi jjigae, a spicy and tangy soup made with kimchi and pork, and samgyetang, a chicken soup made with ginseng and other herbs.

Korean barbecue is another beloved part of Korean cuisine and includes grilled meats such as bulgogi, marinated beef that is grilled and served with rice and vegetables, or galbi, marinated short ribs that are grilled and eaten with lettuce leaves and other dishes. Korean desserts are often sweet and simple, like rice cakes or hotteok, a sweet pancake filled with cinnamon and brown sugar.

Korean cuisine is a celebration of bold flavours, healthy ingredients and cultural diversity. Whether you're a fan of fiery stews or grilled meats, Korean food is sure to satisfy your taste buds and leave you full and satisfied.
